Never use Angular
Use the tool you know the best and master it, don't need to waste time and reinvent the wheel. If it's PHP, then use PHP. What I can see you need to learn a lot since you mentioned WordPress...
As you mentioned also mobile development and you are interested in learning something new I would recommend learning iOS10, Swift 3 and whatever for Android.

Backend is backend and PHP is still one of the best, easiest tools for that with more then 20 years of history, bugfixing, optimization, development, evolution while Node.js has only 5. PHP7 is also very fast. In PHP community for so many years today we have only few solid frameworks and tools. When you want X, you know what to do while in Node.js you will need to write a lot of stuff yourself or waste more time browsing thousands of packages.

Another baseless "Never use Angular" post - Would you care to explain why not? I use it successfully, many, many others do also. If Angular fits the needs, why not? 5 years ago - I said never use Wordpress - now a days, if it fits the needs of my client, why not? I'd rather use it and earn the $$$$ from the project, then to baselessly dismiss it and loose out.

I love PHP, Laravel has made me stick with it otherwise i'd have left it for the MEAN stack, that being said there are things that PHP alone will not archieve. A failure to be open minded about technologies will limit your prospects greatly!

Because they understand, through experience, the unecessarily complex and inconsistent piles of extravagant trash that JS Frameworks are - Express and Vue.js being the only acceptable options, imo (with Vue.js, being more of a library of sorts, aka "jQuery on steroids".)

Golang and PHP7 bookend Node.js/Express in speed and reliability. Then, it depends on how you use it, which takes years to learn properly and not a 90-Day Bootcamp for $12k - which is the product of agencies throwing turds into a fan in order to determine what will stick faster.
