I agree, there is a lot of boilerplate content out there, and nobody's investing time in building their own "algorithmic" solutions ... but that is how it should be, no? Why move away from what has been tried and tested. If you can, can you expand upon what you find wrong with this practice?

i do agree that there are situations where it makes no sense to create your own algorithmic solutions from scratch e.g creating your own crypto algorithm or password hashing algorithm from scratch is not wise and could be very dangerous even if you studied cryptography as a course, but there should be a balance because it makes developers lazy and leaves them clueless when what has been tried and tested reaches it's limit.
