Agile has its pros and cons. I do like agile for several reasons but I also don't like a couple of things about it:

Agile development focuses on smaller things and tends to unintentionally hurt larger things.
I prefer thinking things through BEFORE implementation. I don't want to change based on feedback. I want the feedback to happen before I start coding.

I agree, the tricky part is "thinking through" and "overthinking it" the less we know the more we guess and we start expecting things without having the data or metrics.
