What are the best auxiliary disciplines for software engineering?
I’m finding a lot of auxiliary disciplines the deeper I go into software engineering. For example, Cryptography, Discrete math, Algorithms, modular math, Lambda calculus, etc… Also, I want to be a backend developer.
They are all important and imho you should take your time to learn at least a bit of everything. Of course, you don't need to learn everything at once and in the same detail. Just take one topic and deepen it.
I don't know what you mean by "best". Best in what regard? Best to learn? Best to use? Most important? Most used? Could you please elaborate?
