I think this one is very common, but I'll reiterate it anyway:
- Take the screenshot of the desktop of your friend's computer.
- Set it as the background.
- Move the desktop folders, files etc into a different folder and hide it.
- Let the fun begin...
We used to use this trick heavily during the college days and even in my first job.
