Google. OK, that didn't sound good, so bear with me.
I use Google Chrome, logged in to my primary account. I'm logged into Google+, occasionally checking on it. I'm also a member of a bunch of communities. I intentionally let Google know about my interests.
I'm also a member of some relevant mailing lists, that I receive on my primary email, which is powered by Google.
I also own an Android phone, even though it's Chinese by origin. It is also logged into the same Google account.
I guess now it is clean that Google knows much about me and my interests, and that it's at least part intentional.
Enter Google Now. It's a very good app for my personal assistant needs. It shows my upcoming appointments, my recent searches, and most importantly, some fine articles from sites I never ever visited but still relevant to me.
I wouldn't daresay all articles are super interesting, but I at least skim through the ones with an interesting title.
That's my source of information on software, frameworks, methodologies, etc. even if they are not mainstream yet.
