Why there is only one HTML for the web?
It's not JavaScript's fault that people are trying to use it in wrong places, using so many useless tools, invent virtual problems they can't explain, over-engineering everything. People are always making problems for themselves and later blame everything except themselves for their own blind decisions. I don't have any of these problems and JS is the simplest language in the world. Nevertheless, it was a weak from the beginning, however, standards evolves together with it. And I have no idea about what compiling are you talking about. I can open DevTools and start doing incredible things without a compilation.
If you want something to be changed, first - learn, study the social science, Web and the Internet itself, after that - propose what exactly you want to change, why exactly, what real world problem are you trying to solve, what are use cases and finally - start developing the new web standard. The chance you will fail is almost 100%, however, after being involved in this process yourself you will understand why there is only one standard and why it takes so long time.
