The core of the piracy problem is the global pricing. The economy of the countries are at different level while the prices are same. So if you live where you need to spend (from the very beginning) 1-20% of your overall income to buy software licenses you will do that. But if that percent around 80-100% then you will look for a cracked one. I don't know how should be managed this situation. Without piracy most of the talented smart kids from poor countries would be out of the software industry at all.
Fortunately, lot of big IT companies offers free/community/opensource editions. Nowadays it much more easier to have all needed softwares for free than anytime before.
