I have some side project ideas that'll generate some extra cash for me. As I am a developer who works for a company 40+ hours a week, I am not able to find enough time.
So, here is my question - How to find time?
Well, 5*8 = 40. You still have the weekend with you and even if you spend 2*2 hours, that's 4 hours of work or half a day of actual work.
One thing you need to be wary of is your employment contract, i.e whether or not you can use your spare time to indulge in something that makes money.
I work at a startup with my involvement for time being upwards of 10 hours per day. Despite the heavy schedule and work timings, I try and do the following for side projects and always learning :
PS : Yeah, I enjoy coding very much to not be bored by it.

You can make time for side projects on weekends as well as weekdays. On weekdays taking an hour out of your schedule either in the morning or night after getting back home from work and 2-3 hours on weekends are more than sufficient to work on side projects. I have 9 hour shift daily for 5 days a week and still I get enough time to write technical articles on my blog and work on mobile/web applications in spare time following similar approach. It all comes down to setting your priorities and efficient use of time. Instead of wasting time browsing social media sites or watching series on tv/netflix if we alot time for personal projects then it can help you a lot in the long run.
