My first programming language was LOGO, back in 1997 (I was in 3rd grade). Although at that time I didn't know that I was "programming", it was a fun time to move the turtle around, which leaves a trail. Also, most of our "computer education" time was spent in playing video games — Bumpy's Arcade Fantasy, Prince of Persia, SpeedKar, Dangerous Dave are some of my fondest memories.
My father had signed me up for a C++ programming class during a summer vacation in 2001-02 (7th grade), that is when I had an inkling of what "programming" actually entailed.
As most of us here, I have actually started "programming" programming when I joined university; this time around it was C. Soon after, I picked up Java, and Python for a couple of side projects.
It was just a couple of years ago, when I happened at JavaScript.
