Well it's a nice platform to read other peoples opinions about topics. without the "quora" elitism or the stack-overflow "we decide what's a good question / answer" attitude.
Which makes it kind of a save space to utter your own opinion and maybe someone agrees with you and likes it.
The guys really focus on that experience, that's what I personally appreciate the most. It's an inclusive community not an exclusive one.
That's the first part, my personal focus, they are a nice aggregator as well so a lot of the topics which get shared cross-platform end up here as well.
Although hashnode seams to have a clear javascript majority in it's midst, there are still good articles about other languages or topics as well.
