The top three things I'd like to see more developers gravitate towards in 2019 aren't trends, but more like innovations that haven't been completely embraced by the mainstream yet:
1) Go (aka Golang) - Easier to learn than Node.js/Angular/React and beautifully constructed.
2) Progressive Web Apps - Native apps and Electron make less sense, the more you learn about PWAs.
3) Vue.js - Simple, but so powerful, they call it a framework instead of a library. Say goodbye to jQuery.
