Finally, the 8th cohort of the HNG internship ( zuri internship) is here and this year is in conjunction with the Zuri team!!!
I am Ibrahim Lawal, an aspiring Android Developer and I will be interning at HNGi8 x Zuri!!!
Technology has always being about enabling and unlocking human potentials by granting us immense power beyond the ordinary, optimizing business growth and so many more. It is good to note that technology and so importantly, software development has positively driven the growth of the 21st century. Isn't it thoughtful to be part of awesome journey and being part of its key players?
I have been gladly and patiently waiting for this opportunity, having watched from afar and seen a lot of past HNG graduates doing amazingly well by contributing to the technology and software development ecosystem in Africa and the world at large is never an exception. These are enthusiasts and goal-driven individuals who go from little to no knowledge about coding and design kickstarted their career in technology and have gone to build awesome stuffs all over the world, their tracks speaks volume!!!
Unarguably, this is a perfectly tailored opportunity for anyone who is highly motivated to jumpstart their software development or design career and progress up the ladder.
In this cohort, I will be enrolling into the android development track. Recently, I got started with native Android development with Java/Kotlin, getting onboarded to this internship will afford me the opportunity to get my hands dirty by putting the little I have learnt into practice and learn immensely from the pool of impeccable talented mentors and other colleagues in this cohort.
By enrolling in this program and getting diligent with it enough, I hope to work on cool projects, have a better understanding of software development lifecycle process, enhance my problem solving skills, work with industry experts and progress my software development career.
