Many people, sooner or later, come to a realization with respect to their career that a basic day job has a limited scope. The global working population has always romanticized the prospect of jobs and a projected retirement after a couple of decades. However, as times have progressed, the typical system of jobs no longer favors everyone. In today’s world, possibilities of work are endless. The rapid development of our society has done myriad favors to the global economy and we have a huge number of businesses operating in various industries.

The concept of working 8-9 hours a day in the mainstream 9-5 capsule is broken. Gone are the days when young people with professional degrees and competitive abilities in a particular field would fancy trading their skills for a cubicle life. People are eagerly moving towards simpler jobs which are not labor intensive and are not conventional in style. On the other hand, people are also taking on side-gigs, learning a vast number of different skills which can be translated as a side income. Freelancing is also on the rise as a full-time career prospect, and it majorly works for highly skilled people who can utilize their skills to make streams of income.

However, most people would generally argue about time and specialization. Nobody wants to be the jack of all trades because it does not work. Nobody also thinks they get to have the time to devote to side-gigs besides their day jobs. But an effective plan and strategy can still put those arguments to bed. Not suggesting that everyone should quit their jobs and do what they love to do. That’s not a practical suggestion anyone should be given. Rather, people need to be taught about time management and career counseling because so many people on earth have gone astray the paths they were meant to stay on.

A huge amount of talented and top skilled people are forced to work jobs they are not meant for and there are many reasons for it. Let’s take the example of a professional who is doing a whole lot more than they are supposed to. Anu Deshpande is one name leading by example of people who are pursuing different kinds of interests in their career and amassing big success at it. She is a Silicon-Valley based investment banker, financial advisor to startups and an independent investor. Anu has also created a video series “Tech Talk With Anu”, a show where she invites prominent business figures for an engaging conversation. At “Tech Talk”, Anu has managed to invite interesting business personalities including the former CFO of Yahoo! Inc., Ken Goldman.

She’s a very talented host who adds a different energy with her positive and confident aura. The conversations between she and her guests are not-to-be-missed! This Silicon Valley power woman is a force to be reckoned with. Between a successful and demanding career, and her heart in the startup game, her commitment as a professional speaks for itself. It is a pinnacle of inspiration for everyone looking to do more than just a singular job in their professional life.
