I wrote down some thoughts and ideas about a possible Hashnode API and asked you to share yours. Here is the story if you missed it:
What would you like to do with a publicly available Hashnode API?
Now I'm asking myself 'Would I want a free or paid access to the Hashnode API?'
I can imagine the following models
- Always free, rate limited and access token limited (Twitter style)
- Always free, rate limited (Facebook style)
- Freemium, rate limited (Firebase style)
- Subscriptions (Monthly/Yearly) Ranging from $1 till 🤑
- Pay more to reduce or eliminate limits/restrictions
- Modular model (Monthly/Yearly) Randing from $1 till 🤑
- Pay only for API's you are using
- Get some few API hits free for APIs you aren't paying
- Paid once, lifetime access, rate limited
