Where did the Microsoft tech stack disappear to?

Tell me, developers who choose other tech stacks, why did you decide not to use c#/aspnet/sqlserver? What don't you like about Microsoft's tech stack or what do other tech stacks provide that you feel is better?

Also given the things Microsoft has been doing recently (free tools, open source) would you consider using Microsoft technologies in the future?
