Why Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women is the best university for a budding female engineer?

It's been a year here, and I have realized that it's the best and the most supportive college that an ambitious female could ever get.

Let me start from the beginning!

Before my JEE main result, I didn't even know that a college with such a name existed. I had a choice, ECE at DTU/NSUT or CSE at IGDTUW. Initially, I was a little confused if I would be able to cope in an all-women college. Now that I look back, I am glad that I chose IGDTUW. At that time, it was because I wanted to go for CSE but, it has been so much more than that.

The college gives us a chance to learn "how to learn." They inculcate a habit of self-paced learning by allowing us to learn subjects of our choice from online platforms. Year-end internships further enhance our resumes and help us become industry-ready.

I have female friends at other colleges too, but the exposure and the number of opportunities that I have received (as compared to them) are incredible. In fact, not just opportunities, but personalized guidance from the ones who cracked it too. People don't even know about such amazing female programs from big companies but, we have them all. The college has an amazingly supportive crowd. Of course, there are exceptions to everything but, as a whole, the seniors as well as the batchmates are so encouraging and inspiring that it always gives me a push to grow.

The college has taught me to be independent for almost all sorts of work. The college has provided us with an opportunity to be self-sufficient females and inspire other women to do the same. So, if you are career-oriented, and aim to be a self-sufficient and independent female in the industry, then IGDTUW is your go-to place.

At last, I would like to say that, "In this male-dominated society, IGDTUW proves that females are no less than men."
