This is a very interesting technical overview. I never thought about it from this side. Thanks for showing me. Can this be done with any gadget or just a certain brand? I am still reading various information about such vacuum cleaners as in this article for example. I would like something powerful enough and with good wi-fi, since my house has thick walls.

Thanks for the comment May. I don't know anything about iRobot, but I can say about my Roborock that I'm very satisfied with it. I hope in the future they will make a version that can attach its own mop or dispose the dust bin, but other than that it's perfect. As for Wi-Fi, all of them use 2.4 Ghz because it has a better range than 5 Ghz Wi-Fi, so I don't think there's much difference here. If you have problems with the Wi-Fi coverage in your home then I would suggest you buy an Unifi AP.

For better coverage I recommend cheaper / easier Mesg solution from TP-Link (Im using 2x deco m4 and works great in 2 floors house)
