Automating My Social Cards: Satori, Sharp, and the End of "Generic" Previews
TL;DR: I stopped relying on blog cover images for my Open Graph (OG) previews. Instead, I wired up Satori and Sharp to generate branded, text-rich social cards programmatically at build time in Astro.

This is a strong split: use deterministic branded OG cards for recognition and reserve editorial imagery for places where the image carries meaning inside the article. I’d also test title length buckets—short titles can support a visual motif, while long titles usually need a quieter background and stricter line clamping. That avoids asking one cover system to solve two different jobs.
