Fully disagree. The benchmarks put Angular and React at the near bottom of the majority of the tests. React cannot compete in the performance arena against Solid or Svelte. Furthermore, Svelte 5 will be much closer to Solid. It is clear to me that React's race is over.
What React has is numbers, and those numbers should start to dwindle down as people move to more performant solutions. My choice is Svelte because it outperforms in every category (an will do even better in v5) and because it is much simpler to use.
My viewpoint is: Developers should learn React for job security, but new projects should just move on to the next thing (Svelte, Solid, Lit and the like).
I am converting all React code at work to Svelte. I expect to be done in one year time.
