Wow! This was one of the most helpful article I have found. I have been struggling a lot with the fear of failure in the past few months but seeing your journey I must say, all it takes is to focus on showing up everyday and not worry what the end result will look like. Woah! Truly amazing journey, lots to take away. The struggle's you have mentioned are exactly what I avoided via proper planning and developing my skills while in college. One thing I would like to add is the power of internship. I did internship for 6 months without getting paid a penny just focused on industry standards of software development and getting my Stack (MEAN+SQL) ready. Never the less congrats man on your success.
