Does not work for me. The part when you had to put in the command sudo nano /private/etc/hosts Comes up but there is no iprofiles, just localhost to 127.0.0.1, broadcasthost255.255.255.255, and again localhost ::1. When i type sudo profiles show -type enrollment there is still the organization name and everything but no profiles. Can you please help me. Thanks
Thanks for your help! worked like a charm on M1 MacBook Air, Mac OS Ventura 13.1.
Hi Uchenna,
Thank you for your help,
Actually I bought a 2nd hand M2 Macbook Air and the seller never mentionned the MDM issue.
When I try the 1st Method, the Ventura Install didn't want to continue the install without Internet due to the MDM and after the Mac erase and activation.
Now, is there a way to get rid of the Security profiles ?
After Method #2, here's what I get :
Error fetching Device Enrollment configuration: (34000) Error Domain=McCloudConfigurationErrorDomain Code=34000 "The device failed to requ est configuration from the cloud." UserInfo-(NSLocalizedDescription=The device failed to request configuration from the cloud.,CloudConfigurationErrorType=CloudConfigurationFatalError}
Is it Ok in your opinion ?
Thank you again for your advice
I was trying #1 for a new mac I bought second hand. These are the new ones I guess, because to enter in the recovery mode it's not with "Boot into recovery mode using command + R. ", but just boot and keep pressing the power button until it shows up.
regardless, when reaching step 2: "Disable internet connection on initial setup.", I don't seem to have that option. I just have an 'Activate Mac' screen that says to "Select a Wi-Fi network from the menu or attach a network cable to proceed". I don't have an option anywhere to proceed without a connection, I think. Any ideas?
Thank you so much it works!
Just wondering may I system update it to Ventura after bypassed?
Thanks in advance!
Worked for me, the second one without formatting the disk. You're a star, thanks very much!
Able to follow and got the same result but for some reason, pop up is still showing. Any advise please?
Thank you again. I wondered about your name because an other computer engeneer with the same name lives here in Oslo. :)
It worked like a charm, but i didn´t get completely rid of it before i also followed step 8 and out. Maybe unlogical, but that did the thing for me. Thank you so much. The annoying popups even stopped Apple Logic from editing music or record. I was just about to buy my self a sledge hammer. (Macbook Pro 2018, Big Sur) Btw: Do you live in Norway?
