Thanks for writing this post, it was a much-needed one for me as I am very much interested in digital drawing. As suggested by Miki Szeles, it will be better if you can start a series on digital drawing. Maybe you won't have to plan about your blogpost every day and you won't be facing writer's block ever!

I don't have the slightest idea about drawing (I am literally just learning). But I can learn a ton by teaching. And making sure that whatever I share is truly useful to my readers!

I would love to read a series on the basics of (digital) drawing.

My cover image which I think nakes my profile standout is also a handcrafted drawing. But it was not created by me but by my cousin, who is an illustrator. You can check her work on insta. I won't put a link as haahnode has a bug recently which prevents displaying links in comments, but her username is illustratoth. 😊

Please do Miki Szeles! I would love to see your drawings. The truth is, I can barely draw. But just a little bit of time and effort will get you a long way!

The process of drawing uses a kind of thinking different from the linguistic thinking we are often more familiar with. We usually have a cultural bias (at least here in the west) towards "analytical" and linguistic ideals of reasoning. Drawing and doing art in general is as much an exercise in reasoning as doing math. (On the other hand, math is as much an exercise in creativity as art)

Just different kinds of reasoning. Both important. (That's my claim anyways. I was researching creativity during my masters. And I have very strong opinions about the philosophy of reasoning, which may perhaps go against the mainstream of the traditional psychology of reasoning).

Well, that went flying off the tangent. Sorry. Please draw!

Thanks for the inspiration I might try at some point, up till then I will try to use some of my photographs like the one I used in the article I posted today. By the way having the series on drawing would be awesome. 😊Jorge Romero
