Thanks! This worked great.
Just to let you know. PIA has some arm interfaces now that are accessible from the User's Download page. I used their instructions:
sh pia-linux-arm64-3.1-06756.run
And my pi-400 now has the same PIA on button gui that is on my phone and mac book. The only issue with this is for 64 bit (1/3 as fast as 32 bit bogomips).
