Solid checklist. A few additions that have saved me in practice: put the field allowlist in code (a typed DTO/schema per AI call) rather than stripping fields ad hoc, so new columns never leak by default; tokenize identifiers before sending (replace emails/IDs with placeholders like and map them back after the response); and run a PII/secret scanner on outbound prompts in staging, since API keys and connection strings sneak in through pasted logs more often than through user input. On logging, hashing the prompt plus storing only the metadata (model, token counts, latency, field names) usually gives enough to debug without retaining content.
