Hey there (looking forward to a response),

I've been curious about the life of a dev in Japan for some time now. Thank you for this article!

A few things I'd like clarity on, however:

Which engineer degree is required? I'm actually going to start my Computer Science course in Fall.
What level of Japanese is required? I'm still at N5 because I haven't practice enough. But I want to take the 4 years during my studies to focus on Japanese.

Hi!

Japan Government expects you to have the corresponding degree for the job you are going to do. If you are going to work as a Backend Developer, they probably will want to to have a Computer Science Degree for example. Sorry if I confused you with the Engineering concept.
Nice, keep it up with the japanese. I myself doesn't really use japanese on my job, but of course it helps a lot for finding better job opportunities and being able to work with native locals.
