What type of project do you want work on with react
I don't have anything specific to be honest, i'm open to suggestions.
Harris Hanozidis Do you want to learn Reactjs or have you learnt it but want to work on a side project with the knowledge you have acquired. Go to youtube and search for freecodecamp, you will see some project like Todist Clone, Document Editor, Chat app etc
Emmanuel Umeh I've done some projects on react to hone my skills and i use node with express and mongo for the backend. I only talked about react cause I was thinking of doing a frontend only project just for fun.
Harris Hanozidis Ok, Yes you can do only react project. There a lot of project you can work. Do you have any one on mind
Emmanuel Umeh Not really. That's why I made this post, partly for motivation because I'll have to work on it because other people work on it too and because I can't think of anything cool to build, except the projects you find in github lists that most of them aren't really interesting
Harris Hanozidis Start with some simple projects. Build a weather app or a simple game like tic tac toe. The more projects you work on the more ideas for other projects you will have. And the apps I mentioned, although simple and probably a little uninteresting can be made more interesting if you put some creative spin on them. It's also an opportunity to start practicing "Best Practices" for a project and programming.
One last thing, go ahead and jump into one of the less interesting github projects. It will help you get used to coding in the real world when not every project you get at work is interesting or fun. Sometimes a work project will bore you to tears no matter how much money you're getting for motivation. Who knows, maybe one of those github projects is more interesting than you think!
pahosler Thanks for the advice!!
