My view on the 5 rep range
5 rep training may mean nothing to some of you, and a lot to many of you. (me included)
For those unfamiliar, it refers to a popular training program of doing either 5 sets of 5 reps or 3 sets of 5 reps on the squat, bench press, and deadlift.
