Building an open-source AgentMail alternative with Cloudflare Workers is an interesting approach, especially for developers who want more control over their email infrastructure. Using serverless components could also make the project easier to deploy and scale without maintaining a traditional backend.
I like the tradeoff here. For agent mail, owning the inbox feels way better than adding another hosted service to trust. Cloudflare Workers is a pretty natural fit for this too.
