This maps for me. On point 3, we've been doing informal research "pods" in our team where 2-4 researchers are technically on the same topic together, seeming at first to possibly be overstaffed. But we've found the group setup increases research creativity - the conversations help us find the 3-or-4-for-1 research projects to tackle that allow us greater converage and depth in the end -, quality, and the researchers are happier because they get more time with their colleagues.
