I didn't get the cons reg WordPress: "needs to be hosted (not free)". Does it mean other CMS's don't have to be hosted? Besides, one could have his own server and host a WordPress site there... please elaborate. Thanks.
Not trying to offend any WordPress lovers 😅 As for a headless CMS, many competitors like Prismic, NetlifyCMS, Contentful, etc. are free or come with a free tier (no need to set up your own server). So, for people on a budget and that don't have their own server, having to host WordPress separately might be a drawback and a reason why you would go for a different option.
Lars Behrenberg Ah, gotcha! 😅 I automatically excluded the free tier option whilst reading your post, since they all have some serious limitations. But if you install it on your own server - there are no limitations I guess. I've never been a WordPress fanboy, so I was hoping to see decoupled Drupal on the list.
