As a beginning programmer, when I started reading this article, I thought it was going to be a story of someone who had an interest in computers at an early age and became amazingly adept at using them. As I kept reading, my perspective changed completely. It was as if the article was directed at me. The fact that my current experiences were more or less the same as another person's made me feel less overwhelmed. I started programming a few weeks ago, and I can proudly say that I am a beginner. However, I didn't expect to struggle as much as I am right now. The pressure I placed on myself made me very overwhelmed. Hearing that someone else was in a similar position but surmounted that makes me feel very optimistic and determined about my programming journey. I wish to get to the point where I can proudly say "You know what, I'm not an awful programmer. I'm actually quite decent."
