As a father of two daughters, one of which is already interested in coding, this gives me hope for their future; that they will find a future in tech and not be alone.

Congrats on your first post Em! 🤩 I definitely felt this when studying mathematics at university, there was definitely fewer girls in lectures. But at my school quite a few of the amazing science and maths teachers were women, perhaps that subconsciously inspired me to keep going with my favourite subject.
Great you finally made the decision and got started on this journey.
