This is really inspiring and the "writing part" is legit helpful in understanding a concept whether it is a markup or a programming languages.
At one time, some guides that were posted by experienced developers on GitHub helped me a lot in this regard.
It was a superb article for me.I am a beginner in javascript and thanks for writing such an informative blog for all beginners. again hates off for your effort.
Thanks man, really refreshing to read. I was just battling between you don't know js series and eloquent js, you made the choice easier. I would restructure my time-table and work through this systematically. Also purchased the Complete web developer in 2019 by Andrei Negaoie on Udemy. Was wondering if to start with that or look for a more focused js course? while working through free code camp. Any tip for time management and avoiding distractions?
Thank for the roadmap Kleo.
Sorry for being pedantic, I think "How I mastered JavaScript and how you too can" sounds better than "How I mastered JavaScript and how you can too".
Cheers.
I have read through parts of it which has inspired me but after I finish the Web Dev Bootcamp by Colt, then I will come back to this as a method to master JS. Thank you very much.
Actually this is the first time that i comment on article .
Thank you so much for such a useful article. Best of luck🙏🏻
This is very detailed Kleo, if followed judiciously, any beginner programmer turns to a JS wizard in no time. Great writing too.
Mate you are awesome. Worth reading.
Happiness is some one describing about the JavaScript. And moreover I had the same feeling like getting frustrated, but here the reason is little bit different. During my day job i don't have any work to do (I haven't associated with any project). Later I decided to work on my projects. As a frontend developer, I have consumed github's api lot. Used to ship my code to github. Got good feedback from the people around the world. I have started building my writing portfolio also.
All here I wanted to convey, don't wait for anyone to assign you project.
Thank you @Kleo, for sharing this. I am learning the basics right now. There is a lot to learn from your experience. It is not easy to learn to code on your own. There are a lot of roadblocks(and I think, I speak for all the new guys). There are, a lot of resources mentioned above and I look forward to using them to my best.
never stop learning
@Kleo this is what people should always do. Great read, great article!
wonderful! I've been thinking about what you have done and have implemented some of our common thoughts. I've started a technical blog but I left it while ago due to lack of time. @Kleo what do you suggest for technical writing I felt as If I'm taking too much time to put my learning in an easy way? @Kleo : Also, I do not have a mentor who has deep knowledge in JS - how to find one?
Thanks @Kleo it's very useful for who are passionate in javascript
Thanks for the hints, really appreciate! A tutorial that I really like is this one: http://xahlee.info/js/js.html. It's really concise and straight to the point. I also did an interactive test based on it: https://jsquest.herokuapp.com/
Awesome article @Kleo Really inspiring.. Gonna refer them to my friends now.

Hello Kleo and others, No doubt this is the best I have seen on the internet to master JS. I just have one query. You have said: "Create a GitHub account, commit every single day, and make it a routine. When you finish a project, share it with the world and seek feedback."
I have been coding (very little :P) and pushing it whenever I find time. You said, "Share it with the world and seek feedback?" How do I do that? I am assuming that, it is by creating a pull request. By creating a pull request, how do you invite audience to review your code?
Sorry I am new to this world.
