I am from germany and I know what you mean. Many of the old and big companies just want someone witch 20 years of knowledge, a master or better in informatic and not about the age of 18. My tipp would be, look for a bigger company, which is not so old. Something like Mojang (dont now a german equivalent, sorry). They are often more open minded and not just focused on money and getting shit down.

I never worked with React and I am a really new web developer, so please excuse my, maybe, naiv questions. :) I can just aks and answer based on my knowledge and with the informations given by you I can understand your point. I will look into react when i find time, 'cause i don't really like the changes which angular is under right now and it is never a bad thing to learn something new and possibly something better. "Server-side rendering is the technology of the past." ... Wut? I think it really depends of the use case. For example the AngularJS Directives. If you iterate over an object, adding directives and building your webpage dynamically it would be a rather huge load, especially for mobile devies. So why should it be a "past technology" if it helps speeding up the performance of such frameworks? I agree with you, that Server-side rendering does not belong to "Full Stack" it's just a component you can use but doesn't define the stack.
The company I work for develops windows application. My job is, to "transfer" the UI of the windows application into the web, therefore I must have a computer in which these applications can run, so windows it is. And on my private pc it is windows because most of the time I a playing video games, record them, live stream, record my e-bass and such things. I worked on mac for half a year, but it is simply not mine. It has great features but I just don't feel well with it and on linux it's the difficulty with programs like photoshop and other thinks. If I would set up a clean programming machine i would definatly choose a unixsystem
I work mostly with Sublime. When I want to lint a language I simply google for "sublime css lint" and often find the right tool. For example: https://github.com/SublimeLinter/SublimeLinter-csslint The package for sublime with a detailed instruction on how to install the linter. And yes, this is the css linter I use.
I don't think that this is a bug. You defined the div of the "li" element with 15vw. The container has a width of 50vw. 1 VW is 1/100 of the whole Viewport. So what you get is a container with half of the viewport, in which are 4 divs, which take 60% of the viewport. There are 10% more than the container even have plus the spacings between them. I don't know if I misunderstood something, but in my opinion the width are just false which you set?

I don't know what competence has to do with sexism. Wouldn't you ask your boss if she was a male? Why would you? I mean, I don't know every background information, what the developer is doing, what kind of malware it is, and such things. But for example, i am a Web or Full Stack Developer, how should i know how to remove some kind of bad program? Where should i take the knowledge from, when even google can't help me with my problem? Only because I can bring a led to glow doesn't mean i am able to fix the lights of a football stadium.
Partly. It's right that syntax and functionallity will differ, BUT, you can run 1.4 and 2.0 on the same page, so that every element works. And, there are like 200 guides out there how to uprage from 1.x to 2.0 . Don't know, hard desicion.
