About Me
First and foremost, I love technology and deep dive into every details about it. The never-ending puzzle nature of technology is what makes me love it. Answers like "it works and that's it" is not enough for me. But what makes me to work with technology is the possibility to transform and improve peoples lives, by solving real world problems.
My career started as Unix/Linux system administrator. Working with high-end servers and supporting complex environments give me the necessary expertise to understand how to solve most common problems and how to avoid them. I could say that Operating Systems was my first passion and where I build all my knowledge and expertise.
After some years, I have had the opportunity to work as software engineer in an Open Source project, during my Post Doctorate, and working as programmer a new world, full of new puzzles and problems just opened in front of me. Programming paradigms, Design Patterns, TDD and so on.. it was love at first sight.
Even when I leave the office, I tend to continue writing code, studying new technologies and reading the Computer Science classic books. Even though technology is my passion, traveling around the world, talking with people, swimming, reading, and hiking trails completes me.
