Nope, you don't have to have node installed, you going to compile this app to native app (.exe, .app, ...), also you can package it as an installer (.exe, .deb, ...), take a look at the Github repo, and for the PWAs I'm going to publish another post about how to build Native mobile apps using Angular.

I think it depends on the company, some companies never care about this kind of things, and others care, so it completly depends on the company in my oppinion.
