This will be the best way to structure future web apps. What are Sass, LESS, and Stylus? - They should have the basic knowledge about the CSS pre-processors. How floats work in CSS? - Many novice web developers fall prey to this concept. What are your favorite web design workflow tools? - They should be familiar with most popular tools for web designers. Nothing can beat the quality of A List Apart. I have learnt a lot from their blog. It's a masterpiece. If you compare the design and UX, A List Apart can easy beat every programming blog on the web.

It's damn simple. Microsoft is trying to lure developers. After a series of blows to the developers community they had to do something like this. I don't see Microsoft going anywhere by launching this. Microsoft has already lost its reputation.

For a blog, I would recommend .com domain. They have higher priority and better establishment in Google and other search engines. Only developer related software tools should be present on .io domains. It suits them.

Don't give a damn to what people say. Front end frameworks are created to make life easy. There's no harm in using them if you understand the core concept that lies behind CSS frameworks. I have seen employers blindly rejecting people just because their resumes don't contain the words "Bootstrap" or "Foundation". They are hiring people without understanding what Bootstrap and Foundation are. If you are a good front end developer, there are chances that you will get rejected because of this. In the end, I would say be confident of what you are learning and practising.

I think Silicon Valley is the best place to start your career. If you are confident developer who can perform, then Silicon Valley is a place full of opportunities. You will be the surrounded by people talking startup related things 24x7. And that's the best part. :)

Nothing can beat Proto.io. They are doing a great job. Just take a look at the tool. It's smooth, properly UXed and logical. I have also tried Adobe Fireworks. Adobe products are very confusing. I wasn't able to create a successful prototype ever using it. The process is very complex.
