I would not say that DO beats everyone since DO is pretty expensive & limited in its functions. Also DO is not very a PaaS. Your suggestions are all Cloud Providers except maybe Beanstalk.

Browserify or Webpack with Vue.JS is pretty straight forward and super simple.

Then i really would look through Behance and Dribble. There are some awesome Designers & of course tons of inspirations from Designers.

Are you searching for Bootstrap Snippets? There are a few Sites like http://bootsnipp.com/ or http://bootdey.com/bootstrap-snippets etc. Otherwise i would just search through Behance or Dribble to find some awesome UI Inspirations.

DigitalOcean is not the best option for scaled PHP Applications or better Scalable Storage . How would you add more Storage, from an external Server? DigitalOcean is pretty inflexible in those parts. If you are looking for scalable storage you should take a look at AWS EFS . Or if you are looking for some options here is a good article .
