This really resonates, especially the part about starting with authentication first. I made the same mistake early on, diving straight into endpoints and wasting hours on errors that were actually auth-related. Also agree on error codes being underrated. Once you start treating them as guidance instead of obstacles, debugging becomes much more manageable. API docs definitely feel overwhelming at first, but like you said, patterns start to emerge. After a while, you almost “read between the lines” of different APIs much faster.
