My app is only supposed to work in chrome & firefox latest version, so i don't see much value in broad retro-compatibility. But I guess making a "lite/recent browsers only" version would be like coding the editor all over again, and I understand most people prefer backward compatibility to light bundle size.

My main reason to want to ditch froala is the weight of the js and css. What is the minimum Kb weight of the editor once minified/gzipped ? Positive feedback : image uploading out of the box is just an amazing feature.
