I completely get that. First off, consider the domain the article was found on. XD Secondly, I agree that Swarm (and Docker Machine for that matter) feels unfinished and Kubernetes offers an awesome host of features that Swarm can't. I'm merely interested in the metrics behind this blog post cited in the article by Jeff Nickoloff: https://medium.com/on-docker/evaluating-container-platforms-at-scale-5e7b44d93f2c#.qgvd4c5ej with particular attention to the comment on the first article referencing: “Anecdotally, I’d like to add that the Kubernetes parallel container scheduling provided by replication controllers is remarkable. Using a Kubernetes replication controller I was able to create 3000 container replicas in under 155 seconds. Without using parallel requests it would take approximately 1100 seconds to do with Swarm and almost 6200 seconds on Kubernetes.” Regardless, I run Mesos, Marathon, and Amazon ECS in production with my personal focus on kubernetes. So, I'm not drinking the Swarm Kool-aid anytime soon either!
