Yes, I agree with that. It makes your brain builds new connections because programming is a process which includes learning. So, in that sense it makes you smarter. That's why most of my programmer friends are the smartest people I know. They can even tell me some wild tamer tips and play PUBG on PC and PlayStation 4 when they have time to spare. That's a cool job to be a programmer.
