Thing is in the long term those "economics" are just another place this saddles up people suckered into using these types of systems. The resultant code costs more to host, more to maintain, is harder to modify, harder to debug...
It is why to me they just feel like scams put together by people who are unqualified to tell anyone how to build a website; as if the creators of these systems simply don't know enough about HTML and CSS to even create such a program in the first place.
Of course anyone who actually understands what HTML and CSS are, are for, and how to use them well would never even be looking at using -- much less creating -- such broken backwards trash in the first place.
As I often joke, "For people who know nothing about websites, by people who know nothing about websites" is not a great plan.
In the best of times, it's the credit mentality in action; pay more later for something you cant afford now. At worst it is nothing more than preying upon ignorance, apathy, and wishful thinking like a second-rate MLM.
