Developers, I am looking for not-so-obvious tips for running a successful Kickstarter project.
I am a developer and have no knowledge about marketing and selling the product. What advices would you give for running a successful Kickstart project?

Find this person or people first.
If you have to develop a prototype first to show them / raise interest, do that - but 1 person successes are pretty rare. It's hard for 1 person to do everything by themselves and if they can, one or more pieces will suffer when other pieces need attention.

I've never heard a startup referred to as a Kickstart project. If you mean kickstarter.com make sure you can absolutely, 100% deliver before you get into that. Many campaigns have failed on kickstarter.com that were more then fully funded and it did nothing but pissed off their supporters.
