And if so - which one?
As much as I hate ads, I'm considering using one for a project. I was denied from Google Ad Sense, I'm assuming because it's an AJS 1 site and their bots can't scrape it for content, and I couldn't find any way to contact them and dispute it.
So what network do you use and what kind of success have you had with it?
If you get at least 50k views a month, I'll advice you to go with BSA (Buysellads).

I hate ads. I use adblockers, anti-tracking software and no-script plugins. I think, there are better ways to earn money from a project, for example a pay-wall, like premium membership or additional support.
If you, however, really do want to host ads, take a look at the Napp-It site. I know the guy behind the product and he has some quite good experiences with steering clear of ad-networks. Instead, he collaborates with selected companies and keeps the ads on-topic. The ads there are actually interesting and relevant for people visiting the site. Usually, ad-blockers won't hide those ads either, so it's a win-win situation.
