Like all good/bad questions, this is more about your personal values and preferences, than about technology.
If you like being outside, working with your hands, living a fairly simple/monotonous life, traditional culture, and you aren't particularly opposed to superstition and dying young, then technology was probably bad for you.
If you like safety and longevity, having most of the information in the world available in 30 seconds, being able to visit or contact people all over the world, if you like luxuries and entertainment, then technology was great!
You can probably guess which one I like more.
Anyway, you don't have too much of a choice. You can choose not to parttake in a few technologies, but unless you're retired you can't just tune the whole thing out.
