Does it not run on IIS? My understanding is that you just need to fire it up with your entry point (e.g. index.html) as the rest of it should be relative paths and all client side. It should work. I have the QuickStart app running fine under IIS. I got stuck trying to expand on it, but that's because most of their documentation is for TypeScript, and I know zero about TypeScript. I don't want to learn Angular 2 AND TypeScript at the same time. So, I back-burnered it for now.
