Don't you think £28k a year is too little to be in UK?
Come on, I'm in Bangkok, Thailand and I can easily find a job paying that money.
Considering cost of living in Thailand and in UK, £28k in UK sound like an insult to me.
Well it's not £28k in London put it that way. In london I'd automatically add £5k before even considering any other factors. I can imagine it would be quite cheap out there! Lovely I bet too!
If that position is a junior, that's sound better :-) Let say you can have lunch for less than £1, nice condominium for around £450/month here. I would say yes, it's very cheap here haha. Lovely? I would say so if you know places to avoid. Anyway, I hope you can find yourself nice candidates. I don't know UK law, but I think hire from international candidates would open up a lot more chances for you.
@titanmaru Yea, sorry I should stipulated £28k is for a junior dev lol. Given the UK's current standpoint with The EU - that might become more difficult as time goes on, but could be worth a shout. What do you think about getting freelancers? (as a start up)
