I think if you ask anyone whose blog contributes to their income, they would unanimously tell you that learning SEO is the biggest ROI activity you can do early on.

Because if you have an SEO mindset, it helps you write a different type of content, which will have a compound effect on your blog's growth over time.

If it prevents you from writing, then I'd prefer writing. But I believe it's never too early to think about SEO!
